JPG and JPEG are two extensions for the same image format. If a form asks for JPEG, a .jpg file is normally accepted. Choose PNG when legibility matters more than download size.

What happens to quality?

A PDF page is resolution-independent until it is rendered. PdfVala renders downloadable pages at a fixed 2× browser canvas scale and saves JPG output at a high encoder-quality setting. The result is suitable for typical screen use, but the tool does not claim a selectable print DPI. A low-resolution scan cannot become sharper through conversion.

Use PNG for pages containing small text or thin lines.
Keep the original PDF because image output is no longer searchable or selectable.
For a large PDF, close memory-heavy tabs or convert a smaller extracted section.
Do not repeatedly convert and recompress the same JPG.

The browser workflow is the fastest way to export every page. For one visible section, open the PDF in Edge or another viewer, use Windows + Shift + S, crop the area, and save it from Snipping Tool. Screenshots match screen resolution, so use the converter for complete pages.

Privacy and browser compatibility

PdfVala performs this conversion in the browser. The PDF content is not sent to a PdfVala document-conversion server. Processing capacity depends on the device, browser, document complexity, and available memory. Current Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Edge, and Brave support the required browser features; very old browsers may not.

Can I export every PDF page as a separate JPG?

Yes. Every page becomes a numbered JPG. You can download the files individually or together in a ZIP archive.

Does converting a PDF to JPG extract the original embedded photos?

No. It renders the complete page—text, photos and layout—into one image. That is different from extracting the original image objects stored inside a PDF.

Can I convert a password-protected PDF?

The browser must be able to open the document. If you are authorized and know its password, remove the restriction with the Unlock PDF tool first.

Why is my converted image blurry?

The source may be a low-resolution scan, or JPG compression may soften fine text. Try PNG and check the original PDF at high zoom. Conversion cannot recreate detail that is absent from the source.
